The island of Saint Lucia is located at the eastern edge of the Caribbean Sea.
The French island of Martinique is visible north of the island. It can be accessed by ferry boat or high speed catamaran from Castries.
Barbados is located southeast of St. Lucia while the Grenadine Islands are directly to the south.
Non-stop flights operate to St. Lucia from Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Airline service is also available between St. Lucia and other Caribbean islands.
Many visitors to St. Lucia, however, arrive by cruise ship. The island has become a popular port-of-call on Caribbean cruises.
